Access around the site
The Festival site is accessible via level boardwalks. This encompasses the performance area and all of the stalls/stands.

By Car:
For those of you who may be using Sat Nav systems the postcode you require is NE16 4EE
Please use the car parks on Whaggs Lane and behind Whickham Front Street shopping precinct (indicated on the map below)
Please note there is a controlled 'NO PARKING' on Millfield Road with a small drop off zone provided for pedestrians and disabled access to the park ONLY.
By Foot:
The main access point to the park can be found from Whickham Front Street at the Broom Lane and Rectory Lane junctions.
By Public Transport:
Bus number 97 departs from Metrocentre stand G, Gateshead bus station stand N and Market Street, Newcastle. The main bus stops are located on Whickham Front Street.
On Arrival...
There will be safety stewards at the entrances to the park who will direct you to the box office stall and information point where you must hand over your detaisl out to pick up your wrist band. No access to the stage area or bar will be permitted to anyone without an event pass.

Tickets for people with a disability and their support/personal assistants are free (maximum of 3 people per order). Finance can be a barrier to some people attending festivals so we want to ensure that the event is free to people who need to be.
Family and single tickets are also available (See link above for details)
Ticket / Wristband exchange
Festival attendees will be required to provide the name the ticket(s) were booked under at the event box office. Attendees will then be provided with a wristband, providing full access to the Chase Park Festival site.
Accessible toilets
Specialist accessible toilets, hoisting and changing facilities are available and directions will be clearly indicated on the day (see map below). Stewards will be available to provide directions to the toliets.
Hearing Loop + BSL
A hearing loop and an interpretation service is available, provided by Becoming Visible (http://becomingvisible.co.uk/). Details of these services are available by contacting the stewards or at the event box office.
Assistance Dogs
Chase Park is a public park and provides access to dog waste bins. It is advised that those with dogs bring their own dog waste bags.
Water for dogs can be made available on request by contacting the stewards.
Strobe Lighting
Strobe lighting will not be used during any of the performances at Chase Park Festival 2013.
Medical services
Medical and first aid services will be provided and there will be a clearly marked ambulance on site. Information regarding the location of medical services will be available via the event stewards and at the Chase Park box office.
Other
There will be a sensory area /chill out tent within the festival area. Please ask an event steward for direction on the day.
