Our Vision
Our overall vision is to assist people to become more independent
Our Vision
We aim to provide an integrated pathway of care and support to increase independence, as well as services that help people to retain their independence.
The next few years will see some exciting new developments for Keiro and our partners in the region. These developments will bring about a host of innovative new services and opportunities for people with neurological conditions and complex care needs, living in the North East. All of our services are CQC registered care homes with nursing. However, innovative facilities and partnerships with 3rd sector and housing providers mean that we can offer a truly integrated pathway for our clients.
Expanding on the success of Chase Park Rehabilitation Suite, ‘The Gateway’ our new development in Middlesbrough, is set to transform ‘step forward’ service provision for people with long term neurological conditions, brain and spinal injuries in the Tees Valley and beyond. The new state of the art neurological rehabilitation and specialist care centre, community hub, health club and range of housing options, also represent a multi-million pound investment in local economy, which is bringing in excess of 100 new jobs to the area. This facility is located in close proximity to James Cook University Hospital to develop integrated service, partnership and pathway opportunities with this newly designated national trauma centre.
Meanwhile, in Gateshead we are transforming our current facilities and services, staff and operations to include shorter term rehabilitation and also longer term specialist care. This transformation has included the re-registration of the Gateshead site to a single registered care home called ‘Chase Park Neuro Centre. This new service will be supported by new integrated ‘step forward’ housing pathways to be provided by one of our service partners nearby. This will enable people with neurological conditions to move forward with their lives, accessing the specialist accommodation and targeted support they need, whilst enabling substantial savings in the long term cost of their care and support.
Boda Gallon,
Chief Executive Keiro
